About me and my therapy practice

I work with people who experience anxiety, depression, stress, low self-confidence, low self-esteem, poor sense of self, struggles with relationship dynamics, poor emotional regulation (EUPD/BPD), Bipolar disorder, ADHD, trauma & abuse.

Counselling can be daunting to begin with, but be rest assured you will be entering a non-judgemental, safe and empathic space where you can develop self-awareness and self-acceptance of who you are.

Using a person-centred approach to counselling, I am able to gain a deep understanding of what is important to you and support you so you can take back control and gain understanding in your life. I use relationship dynamics and developmental theory to help you understand how your past affects your daily living, explaining behavioural patterns and negative cycles of events. This can highlight coping mechanisms and defences that may be holding you back in achieving the life you wish to lead. Anxiety, self-harm and self-neglect are all ways in which some people cope with overwhelming emotions and we can explore those triggers together to find different cycles and healthier self-soothing actions. I am also trained in David Moss's non-invasive Rewind technique for treatment of trauma flashbacks and dreams.

I offer face to face in clinic appointments in Grantham, and a UK based online service using a secure and confidential web/video system that can be accessed through a smart phone, tablet or laptop/computer.

Practice description

I offer face to face in Clinic appointments as well as online secure and confidential Video counselling.

For in-clinic appointments, extra cleaning and a private separate entrance, as well as free parking is onsite.

For Video counselling, links are sent direct to an email address and can be accessed through a smart phone, tablet or laptop/computer.

My first session

The first initial 30 minute Video or face to face consultation is free, where we can discuss what issues/struggles you are facing and how I can best support you to move forward. The consultation is designed to be informative and to give you an insight in to how I work so you can decide whether this type of counselling feels right for you. This is also a time to ask questions of each other, and start to build a rapport as the first steps towards the counselling process.
