In order to maintain safety I am working with Skype/zoom, other platforms & phone. I aim to work with you to resolve whatever has brought you here. I appreciate taking the first step to contact me can be challenging but encourage you to do so.
About me and my therapy practice
I will be seeing people face to face from 1st October 2020 (assuming the Covid situation does not worsen). I will continue to offer video or telephone counselling sessions. This means we are not constrained geographically, so perhaps an opportunity for you to have counselling from someone outside your immediate area.
I aim to work with you to resolve whatever has brought you here, so you are in a better place to get on with the rest of your life. Finding a counsellor can be daunting & I am warm, supportive and non judgemental, so it is as painless as possible. My philosophy is all people are valuable & this underpins my approach. Having reached this point finding the right counsellor can feel challenging and our first conversation (whether via email, phone or video) provides an opportunity to experience how it might be to work together.
Practice description
If it's your first time for counselling, you may not know what to expect. Relationships, with ourselves and others, run through our lives and is why I chose to work as a relational integrative counsellor. The integrative bit means I am trained in a range of approaches. These provide the tools to work with you and what you bring as a unique individual, whilst also allowing you to explore your beliefs about yourself and your place in the world. If we work together there may be tears, but these may be because of joy, sadness, a sense of wonder, perhaps a feeling of relief when something becomes clear, or laughter, or possibly a combination of them all!
