About me and my therapy practice

Hello and Welcome, my name is Jane. Allow me to help you explore what is bothering you. I will provide a safe confidential space for you to talk about your problems, maybe depression, anxiety, issues from the past, or more current problems, such as relationships or work. I’m down-to-earth and I won’t judge you.

My model of work is integrative, based in Person Centred Counselling, I can incorporate elements of Transactional Analysis, CBT and Psycho-dynamic work, together we will look at what works best for you.

I am a qualified and experienced Counsellor and Supervisor. I have many years’ experience working in the NHS, providing counselling for people who have been referred by their GP.

A little bit about me; I am a Welsh speaker, I try to practice Yoga on a regular basis, and I enjoy walking my dogs and cooking.

I am a member of the BACP and work within the BACP Ethical Framework.

I have a Post-Graduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling with Distinction, and an MBA with Distinction. I have a post-Graduate Diploma in Supervision.

I have undertaken many short courses, and believe that it is important to continually update my skills and experience.

About me and my therapy practice

Whether you are a student, just starting out on your counselling journey, or a Counsellor with many years’ experience to draw on, I can help you develop your practice.

I will provide a safe space for you to bring and explore your client work. The client will always be at the centre of our work.

We will share the responsibility and authority for our own actions. We will explore how we bring our own personal experiences into our work with clients and how the work impacts on us personally.

Developmental – we will work within our current level of experience and expertise, paying attention to awareness of self and other; motivation and autonomy. Supervision will be an experiential learning experience, through which we will identify areas for personal and professional growth and development.

I work within the BACP Ethical Framework at all times.
