About me and my therapy practice

Sometimes in life we are confronted with a situation or with problems that can seem overwhelming.  We can feel stuck, confused or anxious. Maybe you would like to explore the past, talk about a current problem or just get to know yourself better.  I am a qualified counsellor working with adults and teenagers.

Amongst the issues I work with are anxiety, bereavement, loss, depression, panic attacks, relationship issues and low self-esteem.

Working with teenagers I specialise in issues such as anger, self harm, anxiety and bullying.

I also have specialist training in working with sexual abuse and rape.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a trained supervisor and provide supervision within my private practice for qualifed and trainee counsellors.  I use an integrative approach.  I believe that the task of counselling supervision is to help and support us to be the best we can be for those with whom we work.

I offer a safe and secure environment in comfortable rooms in Gillingham, Kent.

Supervision offers an opportunity for:

Time to reflect on your work with clients.

To offload concerns about clients and to discuss ways of helping them further.

Consider how clients are impacting on you and to explore any transference issues.

Confidence in yourself, your work and further learning.

Mentoring from another Counsellor who can add another eye to issues.

Support in situations which challenge and also with ethical dilemmas.

To discuss further CPD and career choices.

To think about your own self-care and resilience

I am always happy to respond to enquires.
