About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced Accredited/registered BACP counsellor/ psychotherapist with over ten years experience working with adults, children, adolescents and their families. I have experience working with couple.
I have worked in various settings including Private Rehabilitation Services working with young adult with mental health issue, at the Bromley Y Organisations working with young children, young adults and their families, at the Victim support, with Bromley Community Counselling Service, The PCT as primary care counsellor, and Rape and Sexual Abuse Service. My back ground is in nursing.
I fully abide by the BACP ethical framework and am committed to diversity and equality. I have indemnity insurance and have been fully CRB checked. I offer supervision to trainee counsellor and qualified/ counsellor/psychotherapist.
My supervision approach is based on a combination of Proctor (1986) model and the Hawkins and Sohet (1989) model. I see the supportive, educative and monitoring functions of supervision as important and strongly believe these form an integral part of supervision contract. I welcome working with students and professional counsellors.
As a practising therapist I myself am supervised regularly. As part of my own development I attend regular counselling-related training.
