About me and my therapy practice
Whatever you’re going through, you don’t need to be alone with it. I offer a safe online space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, and be deeply heard. I’m a psychodynamic therapist, which means that I listen for how your past experiences might be affecting the present.
When we’re overcome with grief, anxiety, or other overwhelming states, sometimes as well as being impacted by our current situation, we’re also reacting to unresolved hurts from the past. If this is the case, it can help to identify and begin to heal these past wounds. Once we’re conscious of them, we become freer to make new choices and patterns in our lives.
As a trauma-informed therapist, I understand how important it is to proceed gently with exploring painful emotions and memories. Alongside talking therapy, I can work with you to understand how your body may be expressing or holding on to emotions that can’t always be put into words.
Counselling can give you greater clarity about yourself, your relationships, and your strengths. I seek to facilitate your own, unique, journey towards being authentically yourself in the world. I’m committed to providing a safe and nurturing therapeutic space for all clients, regardless of ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other consideration.
I love the creative possibilities of online counselling, and find this way of working can be very meaningful for my clients. Although therapy sessions take place usually once a week, the benefits of counselling will continue between sessions, and often long afterwards.
I work with adults (18 and older) by video and phone. Sessions are weekly at the same time, and last an hour. I offer concessionary rates; please enquire. I can work short-term or long-term.

My first session
Before the first session, we will have discussed what you are looking for and how I can help you, and will have agreed a contract.
You can bring whatever you wish to your first session. There are no right or wrong starting points. We may decide to discuss what might help you to feel safe during therapy, both in the sessions and in between sessions.
