I am newly setting up my practice in the Oxford area and so I still have a lot of availability. I have no waitlist as of yet, and I am only taking a limited number of clients so that I can give my clients my full and well rested attention.
About me and my therapy practice
I trained at Naropa university in the US which is a buddists based uiversty, and my chozen form of therapy is Internal Family systems. IFS is a evidence based non religous based psychotherapy. I can help you with anxiety, trauma, depression, addiction, and many other psychological problems. I work with your psyche's strengths and struggles, to help empower you to heal, gain trust, compassion, and deep understanding within yourself. I do this mainly through guiding you to find agreement, clarity, and build trust with yourself.
I prefer to work in person as it is the most effective way to connect and build the theraputic relationship. I work in a long term
My first session
The first session with me is free. I will sit with you for a full session to see if we are a good fit for each other. Finding the proper therapist is essential. I will get some information as to what are the main issues that you would like to work on with me, as well as some of your history and basic family structure and life. Then we can discuss how I work with clients.
