About me and my therapy practice

I would like to give a warm welcome. As a therapist I have experience working within different emotional areas however, my specialist areas are working with adults, children and young people who are experiencing Bereavement, Grief, Loss and Terminal Diagnosis, while I also work extensively with adults, children and young people experiencing Panic, Anxiety Disorders, Phobia's, Obsessions and Depression.

Alongside my private practice, I work within a hospice supporting clients who are within their last twelve months of life and their families, pre and post bereavement.

The foundation of my therapeutic work is Person Centred, however, I consider myself to be an Integrative Therapist, which means that use my knowledge and training in a number of different theories to meet the needs of each client that I work with.

I have a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, a BSc (hons) degree in Therapeutic Counselling and additional training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Life Coaching, Transactional Analysis, Bereavement, working with LGBT people and working with nightmares and dreams.

I hold a Dilpoma in counselling children and adolescents and a Level four certificate in counselling children, I can work therapeutically with children from the age of four.

I strive to provide a confidential, calm, safe, therapeutic space for my clients to explore their thoughts, feelings and emotions, with no judgement.

I use a selection of tools, training, and experience to ensure I help clients as effectively as possible, using creative techniques as well as talking, whatever works best for the individual client.

I use two counselling rooms, One in Queensbury West Yorkshire and one within the Brighouse area.

I hold a current DBS Certificate and I am fully insured.

I have accredited Safeguarding Level 2 and 3 certificates.

Please don't hesitate to contact me, should you have any questions.
