About me and my therapy practice
Everyone is unique, and I believe counselling is for everyone. Counselling can feel daunting at first. It is an important first step into self-care and creating awareness which will expand beyond sessions. I strive to create a safe, non-judgemental space where you can explore your presenting issues at your own pace.
With my guidance and support, we will work together to explore what counselling approach best suits you. Your sessions will be tailored to create a safe space to address your presenting issues, for personal growth and well-being.
I practice an Integrative Approach. This means I offer a broad range of counselling styles based on what you feel is right for you. This may change throughout our sessions as you go deeper in your self-exploration. Some examples are CBT, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Existential, Humanistic and Person Centred.
As a qualified yoga teacher of over 8 years, I offer yoga therapy in a private studio which focuses on body and breath work to heal trauma. Other alternative therapies include nature therapy, which involves longer therapeutic sessions out in green spaces.
I work with a range of ages, and have an additional diploma in working with children and young people.
I choose to become a counsellor after my own experience in therapy gave me the right support and tools I needed to move forward when I felt stuck. I was able to gain insight into what was holding me back, and I now wish to help others on their journey towards personal growth.
I offer therapy to people aged 12 and upwards, both face to face in my consulting room, online and out in green spaces for nature therapy. I work with people both long-term or short term, depending on your needs.
My therapy room is based in Stoke Newington, London.
All sessions are 50 minutes, except nature and yoga therapy which is 1 hour and can be extended. I charge £60 for each face to face session, £50 for nature therapy, £70 for yoga therapy and £40 for online sessions. I also offer home visit sessions for £50 within a 5 mile radius of N4.
My first session
I offer an initial free 10 minute telephone or online consultation, in which you can ask any questions and decide if you wish to book the first session.
In the first session we will go through the confidentiality agreement and you will have space to ask any questions.
The sessions are then led by you, you can choose what counselling approach you might want to try. If you are unsure, I use a Person-centred approach to offer a safe and non judgemental space for you to gently explore your presenting issues.
