About me and my therapy practice
If you are troubled, anxious, stressed, or depressed, I can provide a safe and supportive space for you to explore your feelings without fear of judgement. As well as working in a “traditional” counselling room, I also offer Walk and Talk therapy in the green spaces around Edinburgh. You may find this particularly helpful if you have a love of the outdoors, or a sense of nature's healing energy, or simply recognise the benefits of a brisk walk to your mental and physical well-being.
I am a psychodynamic and person-centred therapist on BACP’s Register that has been accredited by the Professional Standards Authority. This is recognition of my commitment to high standards, and provides assurance that I have the qualifications and experience to support my clients safely, skilfully, and with genuine care.
It is very important that you find a therapist with whom you feel comfortable, and as such I am happy to meet with you for a half-hour session for a fee of £20. Sessions thereafter are 50 minutes long, once a week. I can offer longer sessions for outdoor Walk and Talk therapy. We can discuss how many sessions might be appropriate for your needs during our initial meeting, but I can offer both short-term (minimum of 6 sessions) and longer-term therapy.
