Personal Consultancy : Integrated Model of Helping

The Personal Consultancy I offer is for: adults, couples, parents (of teenagers 16 or 17 years old), families, young adults (18 to 24 years of age) and guardians or carers of young people with extra needs.

How might you benefit from both Counselling & Coaching with a Personal Consultant ? You may have experienced a sense of resignation or hopelessness that things can ever change, even though this is desperately wanted. You may be feeling burdened by worry, and this may have affected your mood or enjoyment in life.

Personal Consultancy has a crucial part to play in reviving motivation and accessing underused or unknown inner resources. This assists reviewing direction and choices, before re-setting aims and goals for successful navigation of life challenges. Making the right selection of support is a pivotal step towards the progress you want to make.

Distinctive helping models of therapeutic counselling and coaching inform and are integrated into Personal Consultancy. 

Therapeutic Counselling, a therapeutic relationship of trust supports: exploration, stabilization, recovery of equilibrium, increased confidence and finding ones own voice, for choice-making. 

Coaching supports: safe self-expression, self-efficacy, increased awareness, autonomy with skills development toward appropriate inter-dependency, improved emotional well-being & targeted goal achievement work.

We know that support is vital to facing-up to obstacles and transitions.

Personal Consultancy is a commitment to regular contact with a professional practitioner to work with you, confidentially, on your issues, concerns or worries, your aims, goals or ambitions, in order to navigate your route to successful achievement of your chosen outcomes.

How Will We Make Contact & What Will Happen ?

After scheduling a free, up to forty (40) minutes preliminary video or phone call, concluding our call with an agreement, and online registration; a series of four sessions leads to a Personal Consultancy Plan, which, in response to your aims and issues, includes a schedule of contact frequency, an estimate of duration of involvement informed by regularly reviewing progress and your satisfaction level.

This service includes detailed in-depth exploration to assess through identifying strengths, gaps and opportunities, and create a Personal Consultancy plan and schedule. Ongoing support is offered following the sets of four sessions.

Benefits from both Counselling & Coaching with a Personal Consultant

This service is provided, and gains are made, through a series of consultative conversations, in which we initially explore your expectations of our time for talking together, and gather a focus on what we can jointly achieve for you.  We make an agreement to work together on your concerns or needs in a way which is tailored to your purposes.

We might start in a counselling way of talking and thinking together about feelings, thoughts and any linked experiences. After a little time some gradual changes may be noticed with some improvement in personal resilience. As we talk together we may move into a coaching mode of conversation when we have clear purposes and aims or goals to work towards. In a coaching way of thinking and talking, a task or series of probably small tasks or actions, could be seen as useful for you to work at. With the tackling of such tasks we can learn about skills, abilities and attitude toward task-completion.

In this way you build competencies, self-confidence and enhance self-esteem, supporting increased personal resources. At other times a counselling-type conversation happens to address the then pressing feelings or thoughts or ideas. We may progress in this way across a number of sessions, or in any single session.
