About me and my therapy practice
I am a registered BACP senior accredited person-centred supervisor with extensive experience of working with individuals and groups in a supervisory capacity. I offer Clinical Supervision to counsellors and health care professionals and Professional Supervision (also known as consultative support) for leaders, managers and staff working in the public and commercial sectors.
Supervision provides the opportunity to take time out from the work place and reflect in a safe space on issues and dilemmas. Through increasing self-awareness and more consistent application of skills you are likely to feel more confident in your role. The supervision can assist you and your organisation to ensure the service being provided meets the required organisational and professional standards. It is a supportive process and therefore should enhance your wellbeing and that of your clients, service users, staff or other stakeholders depending on your role and profession. Supervision will also contribute to your on going professional development as you constantly review and refine practice with an experienced colleague.
A good ‘fit’ between supervisor and supervisee is essential for successful outcomes and with that in mind I recommend an initial 60 minute session during which time you can meet me, check out the environment, discuss your supervision needs and consider if we might work well together.
I have extensive experience of working with trainee counsellors both in my capacity as a trainer and through my private practice as an individual supervisor. I enjoy this aspect of my work immensely. I am an approved registered supervisor of trainee counsellors with training institutions based in Norfolk and London.
If you are considering group supervision for your organisation or thinking about setting up a supervision group please do get in touch.
My first session
If you are interested in working with me please make contact. From there we will set up an initial phone call during which time we can discuss your supervision experience and needs. The first session would include a detailed look at the supervision contract, and an opportunity to explore how we might work together to support you in your current role wether that be as a counsellor needing clinical supervision or for professionals seeking consultative support.
