About me and my therapy practice

I hope your search for a therapist / counsellor is going well.  It is really important to find a therapist who feels right for you.  The relationship with your therapist is often more helpful than their interventions and experience.  You are unique, and I believe therapy / counselling should be as individual as you are.

I’m a fully-qualified person-centred psychotherapist / counsellor.  I was trained by world-leading experts at the University of Nottingham, and am now based in West Cornwall where I was born and bred.  I work with clients online and face-to-face to help them to understand their situation, in their own way, and to find their own solutions.

Person-centred therapy is a popular, well-established, evidence-based approach. It is generally as effective as other leading approaches, but uniquely it puts the client at the centre of the process. It is as individual as you are, because we work with the world as you see it. You are the best expert on you.

Why not call me today for a free chat to see if can help?

Practice description

Person-centred therapy holistically addresses thoughts, feelings and behaviours. It is not dependent on medical diagnoses, yet can help with all conditions. It is the only 'non-directive' form of therapy, in which the client directs what is discussed. There is no assessment, interpretation, homework or other forms of judgment or expectation. The questions, and the answers, come from within.

A lot of my work is with depression, anxiety, phobias, OCD, panic, and other common mental health problems. I also focus on men’s mental health, adult ADHD, students, bereavement, addictions and person-centred coaching for personal growth. I organise encounter groups in the West Cornwall area.
