About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I am Emily.
I am a fully qualified person-centred counsellor and psychotherapist and registered member of BACP.
Due to Covid-19 my preferred method is via telephone or online but I do offer face-to-face counselling on request. Please contact me by phone or email for details.
Caring, warm, accepting and motivating.
I offer my clients a confidential space to breathe, talk, and 'just be'. I am very committed to offering you genuine empathic understanding, warmth, acceptance and deep respect.
I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist. I currently work as a volunteer counsellor for the NHS and have a private practice. Further details can be found in my website:
I work with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, abuse, trauma, bereavement, cancer and other health conditions, self-esteem issues, family issues, work issues, relationship issues, stress and special educational needs. We will work together to find a path which meets your needs on your journey. Most clients make great progress in between 6 and 12 sessions.
Talking therapy helps us to untangle our thoughts and make sense of things and it can take time. I can help you to heal from your past experiences and will support you to find your inner voice and freedom to be you. My business name, 'Naturally me' stems from that thought - I will support you to work out what you want and be your authentic self.
I am offering online counselling via Zoom or over the telephone as well as face to face sessions at my counselling room in Cheadle Hulme, Stockport. My counselling room meets social distancing requirements and the building is cleaned thoroughly. There are toilet facilities and there is ample parking next to the Cheadle Hulme Precinct (near Asda and Costa).
Please feel free to call or email me – I’m always happy to discuss individual circumstances and needs.

What happens next?
The first step is to arrange an initial assessment to summarise some of the issues you wish to discuss in therapy and to get to know one another in a client-counsellor relationship. Please contact me via my email or phone:
