About me and my therapy practice
Sessions take place in a designated at my home near the centre of Durham City, a few minutes' walk from the University Library and most departments.
Work with a new client always begins with a half hour assessment session, for which there is no charge. This is so we can discuss the client's needs and ensure we both feel that the therapy I offer is going to be helpful, before going ahead.
I have more than 15 years' experience of providing long and short term counselling in GP surgeries, NHS Occupational Health departments, University Student and Staff Support services, Employee Assistance Programmes and in private practice.
Before I began work as a therapist I was an English teacher for over 20 years.
I also offer counselling supervision, again with a preliminary meeting for which there is no charge.
I am available from Mondays to Thursdays, offering daytime and evening appointments.
