About me and my therapy practice

Counselling offers you the chance to pause, reflect and to discover better ways of living. I offer a safe and confidential space where you can share your difficulties and explore alternative ways you can make a positive difference in your life. My experience includes but isn’t limited to working with depression, sexuality, gender and relationship issues.

Working in a person-centred way, I can help you focus on a specific issue, identifying and changing old patterns of behaviour and relationships. I can also help if you’re generally feeling stuck in life, lacking purpose or a sense of identity.

My approach is based on the recognition that we all have a natural ability to grow towards reaching our potential, though this growth can be thwarted by our life experiences and how we’ve been taught to think about ourselves. Counselling is a way to reconnect with this potential.

Following you getting in touch by either email or phone, we’ll have an initial session to discuss in more detail what has brought you to counselling. This is an opportunity for us to get a sense of the way we would work together and to think about what the best way forward for you is.

I have worked for many years as an honorary therapist and volunteer for the LGBTQ+ community both here in London and in New York City. I gained my counselling qualifications in Person-Centred Therapy in London and then I further studied Focusing-Oriented Therapy in New York City. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and I am bound by their Ethical Framework.
