About Online Counselling
Online counselling is fantastic in that you can build a face-to-face relationship with your therapist, in any quiet space that suits you: your home office, your sofa, your bedroom - perhaps with a cup of tea and your cat or dog beside you!
About me and my therapy practice
Life can throw a lot at you, from break-ups to family problems; challenges at work to things that have happened in our childhood that affect us today. Sometimes we might struggle to regulate our emotions, or have days where we suffer through low mood or anxiety. We often fare better when we've had the space to work through what it is that we're facing.
Counselling is a great way to do just that: it offers a space where we can share our innermost thoughts with a therapist, without bias or judgement. It can help us to overcome lifelong issues, or work problems out. Counselling is truly transformative and will really provide you with the means to live a fulfilling life - the storms might still be there, but you will know how to weather them!
Practice description
I am a friendly and warm therapist who holds a Masters in Psychotherapy & Counselling. I am empathic, non-judgemental and hold an unconditional positive regard for my clients, creating a safe space where they can express themselves. I have an understanding of other cultures and I am able to create trusting relationships with others.
My experience working in the field started in 2017. I have wide ranging experience, having worked in a University with young adults, for an NHS IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) service, counselling centres, charitable organisations and within a Domestic Abuse counselling service.
I have supported my clients through difficulties including Abuse, Anger, Anxiety, Attachment Work, Cultural issues, Depression, Emotional Regulation, Forced Marriage, Inner Child work, Religion, Sexuality, Social Anxiety and Work related stress.
My first session
I offer a free 20 minute consultation to understand your reasons for seeking counselling but also so we can meet each other before going ahead with therapy. The therapeutic relationship is a partnership. There are many good therapists out there, but it's important to find one that you feel you can build a relationship with. If my style isn't for you, I'm always happy to support and signpost.
Types of therapy
Humanistic, Integrative, Person centred
Clients I work with
Adults, Older adults, Trainees, Young people
How I deliver therapy
