About me and my therapy practice
I am passionate about my work and believe that therapy can bring about positive change to people’s lives. It is not uncommon to feel lost or confused from time to time, or to experience symptoms, unhelpful behaviours or a lack of confidence. These are things that we can all experience.
It is my experience and belief that not only can therapy help us make sense of and heal the debris of the past, but also bring about the clarity and freedom to experience life differently and the opportunity to reach our full potential.
Having trained for four years at The Minster Centre in London, I obtained a Graduate Diploma in Counselling.
I have been trained in integrative therapy, this is a progressive form of therapy that combines different therapeutic tools and approaches to fit the needs of the individual client. By combining elements drawn from different schools of psychological theory and research, integrative therapy becomes a flexible and inclusive approach to understanding.
I have experience working one to one with individual clients as well as in a higher education setting. I also have experience working with offenders.
It is important to choose a therapist you can work with and trust. The better the relationship between you and your therapist, the more likely you are to benefit from therapy. Therapy takes place in a private and confidential setting where we can explore thoughts and feelings in a context different to most every-day settings. It is a dedicated time set aside by you and me. The setting and regularity of our meetings as well as our therapeutic relationship will be the vessel within which you will be free to express whatever is on your mind. What you say will be treated with respect and compassion.
