About me and my therapy practice

I work with adults and children offering integrative therapeutic sessions that are tailored to meet the needs of the individual and their presenting issues.

I am an Integrative Psychotherapist with a background in Psychology for over 15 years offering an empathetic, non judgemental caring approach.

As an integrative therapist I can offer a range of psychological talking therapies such as person centred, psychodynamic, existential, polyvagal and phenomenological approaches to support you on your journey of healing.

I also have the skill set of utilising positive psychology, coaching and mindfulness techniques to support the therapy where appropriate. I also have experience of using a trauma informed approach and am very passionate about how trauma directly impacts the body.

I am also fully trained in offering Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAT) and Equine Assisted Learning (EAL).

Practice description

My main location is a treatment room near the centre of Clitheroe, however I do offer online and telephone therapy if that is more accessible to clients.

I also utilise a variety of different therapy rooms across the valley if travel is an issue.

I feel it is extremely important for therapy to be effective that a good therapeutic alliance is formed. I offer a safe space, an empathetic, non judgemental listening ear.

My therapy is non directive and always client led, and is also centred around using alternative ways of accessing therapy through utilising mother nature, which is why I offer EAT and EAL.

My first session

My first session will firstly involve discussing and agreeing to a counselling contract, in which I will discuss with you and make sure you fully understand and agree to. A copy will be given to you at the end of the session.

I also will complete a psychological assessment in which I will ask you a range of questions to help establish the most effective ways of working with you.

I also will explore with you your goals for therapy and what you would like to aim to achieve.
