About me and my therapy practice
Life has a way of leading us to moments where we yearn for something more, where we desire to let go of the things that have held us back. If you've reached such a point, I am here to support you in embracing growth.
As a counsellor, I specialise in providing a safe and nurturing environment for you to explore the depths of your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. This space we create together is free from judgment, allowing you to openly express your truest reflections without fear.
My integrative training and experience allows me to take the time to understand what style of support suits you best. We explore how things of the past effect what you are going through now and identify ways to interrupt those unhelpful patterns. Overall, my approach is centred around building a strong, trusting relationship with you. I genuinely care about your well-being and will always strive to understand your unique journey with empathy and compassion.
Practice description
I offer a 15 minute introductory conversation where you can ask any practical questions and from there we usually arrange an initial session where we go into more detail about what brings you to therapy and decide on the next steps together.
I work usually work with clients on an open ended basis but also support clients on a short term arrangement depending on the desired outcome.
I specialise in supporting clients to rebuild a broken relationship with themselves which could manifest in a range of ways that effect the way they navigate their lives. Some of these ways come under the umbrella of anxiety, depression, thoughts of past traumatic experiences and breakdowns in relationships with others.
You can expect a therapist who is calm, compassionate, empathetic and practices from a genuine love for what she does.
My first session
Our first session is more of an assessment of whether we will be best suited to work together. It lasts for 50 minutes and I will use the time to learn about your background, what brings you to seek therapy, and any specific challenges or aspirations you would like to address.
As we move through the session, I will explain my approach to therapy and in what way our working together could help to move you forward. It is essential for you to feel comfortable with the therapeutic process and understand how I can support you effectively, so I aim to answer any questions you may have before the end of our time together.
