About me and my therapy practice
I run Gateway Therapy which is an integrative psychotherapy practice based in Blackheath, South East London and Farringdon, City of London.
I have over twenty years experience of working in the field of mental health and emotional well-being. During this time I have worked as a clinician for the NHS, in Higher Education and within Adult and Children’s charities. I have experience of working at all clinical levels, including as a Psychotherapist and Counsellor, Clinical Director, Regional Manager, Senior Manager, Clinical Supervisor, Group Facilitator, Coach and Trainer.
My particular specialisms include, working with people who have depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, negative coping strategies (e.g. issues relating to food, alcohol, drugs, gambling, sex etc.) and work-related problems.
I believe that adopting an integrative approach, which combines a range of skills and techniques, is very important and produces the best outcomes for my clients.
My aim is to enable you to become who you want to be by: understanding what is at the root of your difficulties; identifying ways of overcoming these challenges; helping you to free yourself from destructive coping patterns and influences and to take control of your life.
