About me and my therapy practice

A warm welcome.

Counselling is not an easy step. There are many situations in the world today which make us more susceptible to stress, anxiety, and depression. I believe in and use a holistic approach to therapy, utilising a wide range of techniques to help guide and empower people to find their own solutions to their personal situations and challenges on their journey through life.

I have devoted many years to successfully helping people undergo positive life transformations; and supporting them through difficult stages in their lives such as divorce and separation, loss and bereavement, midlife crises, identity and belonging, and early childhood trauma.

Qualified as an integrative counselor and psychotherapist from Roehampton University, my primary counseling models are psychodynamic, humanistic, mindfulness, and cognitive. I have 20+ years of experience, including within the NHS (focussing on bereavement and trauma), the private sector (Employment Assistance Programmes, the Life Centre (rape crisis) etc) and in private practice helping people get their lives back after serious life events, trauma and depression.

In particular, I am interested in working with men or women who are exploring healing from an absent father or healing the father's wound. Many adults carry long-established traumas from childhood, and we rarely have a moment to stop and pause. This may be affecting your health and adversely impacting on your close relationships. At times this may present itself as anger, self-harm, withdrawal and lack of motivation.

I also work with couples and families. And I am trained to work in  issues of difference such as race, gender, sexuality, and disability.

It's never too late to begin to re-write your narratives and explore how to make the most of your life, live life to the full and begin to put the past to rest.

I run a private practice in the South Downs (Chichester) and work face-to-face and online.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Practice description

I am the founder and director of an international mindfulness organization working within the area of mindfulness and its application for healing, therapeutic value and lifestyle.

I am based in Chitchester and work with adults, couples and families on zoom or face-to-face. I work primarily with helping find the best outcomes for a happier life, by guiding people through life changes, inner conflicts, grief and relationships issues.

Over the years I have worked in higher education, mentoring and teaching mindfulness to students; and running international national retreats, well being and trauma on the south coast. My favourite role in life was an NHS bereavement counsellor helping people adapt to change, loss and separation.

I offer both short and long-term counselling and psychotherapy depending on your needs; and help people work through many forms of loss, trauma and crisis. I work with a range of issues such as workplace stress and anxiety, separation and loss, in addition to issues of belonging and starting again.

I provide a holistic and solution-based form of therapy using a blend of trauma-based sensitive mindfulness and psychotherapy. I work with people who are affected and challenged by adversity and have suffered major life changes and challenges.

There is constant navigation and complexity around identity and belonging. My aim is to help you discover and develop new ways which are less compromised by past patterns which have contributed to your distress and suffering in the present.
