About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced, qualified person-centred counsellor registered with the BACP and I hold an enhanced DBS.
I am also trained as a drug and alcohol counsellor and can integrate solution focused therapy and mindfulness if this feels more comfortable for you. In addition I am trained to counsel carers of people with addictions.
I strive to work in a non-judgmental way, providing a safe and caring environment, supporting you to express and accept painful and challenging feelings and experiences.
I believe the key to the healing process and effective counselling is co-creating a trusting relationship, allowing exploration of how you relate to yourself and others. I support you in the identification of problems and explore how you can remove obstacles in the way of a better life.
Issues people bring to counselling:
Drug and alcohol issues, loss and bereavement, relationships, coping with divorce, guilt, shame, confidence, family problems, isolation, depression, difficult relationships, assertiveness, difficult decisions, conflict, avoidance, dependency, anger, self-esteem, abuse and the challenges of being a carer.
I offer an introductory fee for the first session of £20.
