About me and my therapy practice
Hello! My name is Ellie, and I provide Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) both in-person in Edinburgh and online to help you with your mental well-being and personal growth. My experience includes assisting individuals with challenges such as anxiety, depression, and more. You can trust that I will provide a safe and judgment-free environment where you can openly explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours.
Therapy is a collaborative effort and together we'll work to identify your challenges and develop effective strategies based on CBT principles. I believe in personalising therapy to suit your unique circumstances and goals. I understand that you may be anxious about starting therapy, but my goal is to make the process comfortable, empowering and down-to-earth so you can feel at ease sharing your experiences.
I've seen remarkable transformations in the lives of my clients, and their positive testimonials and success stories are a testament to the power of therapy. While I can't guarantee specific outcomes, I will be there for you to provide support, understanding and guidance.
My therapy practice is a safe place where your well-being is my priority. I offer a straightforward, hands-on approach grounded in CBT.

My first session
Your first session is a crucial step towards understanding your needs and goals. In this initial meeting, we'll focus on building a strong foundation.
Here's what you can expect:
Getting to Know You: Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. You'll have a chance to share your concerns, and I'll listen to understand your unique situation.
Assessment: Depending on your needs, we may use this session to conduct a brief assessment. This assessment helps us identify key areas to address in future sessions.
Setting Expectations: We'll discuss how therapy works and set realistic expectations for our journey together.
Comfort and Confidentiality: We'll discuss the therapeutic process, confidentiality, and any questions or concerns you may have.
The first session is a collaborative process, and there's no pressure to commit. It's a chance for you to see if we're a good fit for your needs.
If you have any specific questions about the first session or would like to schedule it, please don't hesitate to contact me.
