About me and my therapy practice
Hello and thank you for reading my profile.
I am based in the North West of England and offer online appointments that allows me the flexibility to work with clients from across the UK.
You may be considering counselling for a number of reasons. You perhaps want support in moving forward from a difficult experience which has occurred in your past, or you may be dealing with something in the present, for example relationship issues, a stressful working environment or a bereavement.
Counselling allows you time to be heard.
When considering counselling, clients can often feel nervous and unsure, particularly if this will be their first experience of counselling. Know that you are not alone. I offer a shorter telephone / online consultation before any work we do begins, this is in order for you to ask any questions you may have.
It also allows you the opportunity to begin to understand if I am the right counsellor for you, or if in fact that counselling is not something you wish to proceed with at the present time.
Sometimes even speaking to someone about what counselling is can be useful .
The start of your journey may not be now but you will be equipped with more knowledge for the future.
These shorter assessment's/ sessions are not counselling sessions and are priced at a reduced fee. ( ask when you contact)
My professional background is :
Qualified counsellor.
Qualified cognitive behavioural therapist.
Drug and Alcohol worker for twenty two years helping people address there substance misuse issues in alcohol/ opiate and stimulant addiction .

Explore, be brave . Always remember you matter. I look forward to hearing from you.

Practice description
I am currently working online .
If you would prefer face to face appointments i can facilitate this within the Liverpool area.
My first session
Typically in your first session I will ask you to talk to me about what has brought you to counselling; you can ask any questions you may have about how we will work together and, if it would be helpful for you, to discuss what you would like from our sessions. You may not know this initially and that’s ok. If you decide to continue, subsequent sessions will allow you the space and time to explore your issue(s) further and through working together enable you to find the best way forward.
