About me and my therapy practice

I am a BACP registered and accredited humanistic integrated therapist. I have been delivering counselling and psychotherapy for over 20 years working with people who are struggling or wanting to come to terms with life experiences, the pain of loss, the legacy and underlying causes of addiction, the effects of trauma, sexual and emotional abuse. I walk alongside courageous people as they journey through their recovery and reclaim their lives.

I work within a body/somatic framework where talking is a part rather than the whole of the dialogue between myself and my clients. The body is always present and insightful and provides us with a bridge to healing in the mind, emotions, spirit and who we are now.

I have a long and fruitful relationship with Shamanic practice which informs both my work and my personal life.

Please see my website for more information.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer supervision to student counsellors, therapists, equine facilitated psychotherapists and bodymind practitioners.

My supervision practice offers you a space of compassionate dialogue and support that I hope will empower you in your practice. I accept urgent contact by email or text inbetween our regular online sessions, particularly with regards to safeguarding concerns.

Within my counselling role, I work with people affected by grief and loss, sexual, emotional and domestic abuse, the underlying causes of addiction, substance use and risky behaviours. I walk with people on their own courageous journeys as they develop resilience, respect and self worth, all of which are aspects of reclaiming their lives.

There is a somatic reference to my work coming from the understanding that the body is always present and as such, we can call on its innate intelligence and wisdom. The body can be a bridge to healing of the mind, emotions and spirit.

My work is trauma informed.

I have training in Reflective Supervision and Systemic Supervision Practice.

Please see my website for further info, thanks.

Practice description

I provide counselling/psychotherapy to private clients who come with a wide range of needs and intentions. I also work within a social care environment and deliver counselling to young people and families who are affected by their own or another's substance use. I have worked within school, college and youth service environments.

I'm a counsellor with over 20 years continuous practice which has been under receipt of regular supervision by a number of BACP senior accredited supervisors, this includes receiving support for my supervision work.

I charge £75 for a 1.5 hour supervision session. This is discounted by 10% for students to £67.50 (limited spaces available).

I only offer counselling supervision online via zoom.

For Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy Supervisees I can sometimes  offer sessions based outside in the herd environment. These sessions are at an additional cost.

My first session

I offer a free 20 minute consultation so you have the opportunity to meet me so you can find out whether what I offer is what you are looking for. I will endeavour to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

As a result of this consultation, if you do decide you would like us to work together, we can then discuss the best way to proceed.
