About me and my therapy practice

Hi, my name is Kerry and my passion is to help people and I have devoted my life to that aim.  My entire career has been spent learning the skills required so that people can achieve positive change in their lives.  I am here to help you achieve your goals.

I have a special interest and passion in working with eating issues, relationships with food, eating disorders, body image issues and obesity and have trained at the National Centre for Eating Disorders.

I also work with clients on issues relating to self-esteem and self confidence, as well as common mental health issues like anxiety, stress and depression. I have gained this experience in a variety of settings including, the statutory sector, corporate organisations, charities and not for profit organisations.

I work with you to help you respect and accept your feelings.  I help you to understand them so that you can see things more clearly. This safe space can help you find the answers to your problems.

Although counselling can be a difficult journey it is also a very rewarding and empowering one where you can discover yourself and make any changes you wish, and we I walk beside you on this journey of self discovery.

I am a fully qualified and insured counsellor trained in Person Centred Counselling and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, this means I have a range of skills to help you with your problems.

I am a registered member of British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and work within their ethical framework. I have regular clinical supervision and take part in regular Continued Professional Development to make sure that I am helping you in the most effective way.

About me and my therapy practice

Clinical supervision is essential for good practice and is a requirement of most ethical bodies including the BACP.

I offer supervision for both trainee and experienced counsellors. I strive to provide a safe, comfortable and professional environment to establish and sustain a working alliance where you can reflect in depth on all aspects of your practice so that you work as ethically, safely and effectively as possible.

I understand that what you need from supervision can change as your experience grows and that a trainee counsellor's needs can be very different from those of a qualified, experienced counsellor. Therefore I work with you as an individual so that supervision is a valuable experience for both you and the work that you are doing with your client.

I have trained in Person Centred and CBT and have supervised counsellors from other modalities.

I am an experienced telephone counsellor and have experience of working within busy EAPs, I understand the uniqueness of working with clients over the telephone and can offer telephone supervision.

Supervision is offered face to face but can also be offered over the phone.

I am a registered member of BACP and offer supervision within their requirements.

Fees: £60 for 90 minute session

Discounted supervision for trainees - please contact for details
