About me and my therapy practice

"When you can't look on the bright side, I will sit with you in the dark" Lewis Carroll

As a counsellor I truly believe that everyone has the ability to grow, heal and thrive. However as human beings, we can struggle with difficult feelings or can be overwhelmed by experiences from our past or present.

When we are impacted by these strong feelings or difficult experiences our confidence and wellbeing can be affected. This may mean we find it difficult trust ourselves, our feelings, thoughts, relationships or even our decisions.

Counselling can help you in developing a better understanding of yourself and the emotional journey that may have led you to distress. Once we understand ourselves we can take steps towards self-compassion, self-confidence and a stronger identity. It is with this knowledge and self-acceptance that we can then choose the things that are important to us, the kind of relationships we want in our lives, and make decisions on how we wish to lead our lives.

As a BACP accredited counsellor, I aim to offer you a sensitive and confidential environment where you can be fully heard and supported and where you can explore your emotional world and the impact of life events. I will work together with you, holding your goals, wants and desires at the heart of the therapeutic work we do together.

Practice description

As an experienced Person Centred counsellor, qualifying in 2005, I have worked in various organisations including the Houses of Parliament, the Civil Service, a North London GP surgery, Terrance Higgins Trust and Mind. I have experience in working with many presenting issues, including:
