About me and my therapy practice

I am an experienced and accredited counsellor, and a psychotherapist and supervisor of therapists, working continuously as a therapist for over 25 years. I am experienced in NHS settings and in private practice, as well as educational work.

My qualifications include both a Postgraduate Diploma (1994) and an MA (2001) in Psychodynamic Counselling from Reading University and a Diploma in Supervision with the Society of Analytical Psychology. I am a qualified practitioner, supervisor and trainer in (IAPT-approved) Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy, accredited for this by the British Psychoanalytic Council. My first degree was in Physiology (BSc Hons, 1975) from Leeds University. I have worked as a tutor in the training of psychotherapists at Oxford University (Cont. Ed. Dept). I continue in further professional development through more intensive training in psychotherapy with the Society of Analytical Psychology. I am an experienced supervisor of both open-ended and time-limited models of working in NHS training placements, private practice, educational settings and the charitable sector.

I work from a Jungian perspective. Most of my therapeutic work is now in private practice in West Berkshire, close to Newbury, Basingstoke and Reading.
