About me and my therapy practice

The human experience is complex; each one of us has had our own individual journey, a weaving together of experiences; which leads to our own special take on life, events, emotions, thoughts and relationships.

With an integrative approach I am able to tailor my approach to my work with clients. I am client lead in my work; this makes me your equal. I work WITH you to find the best approach that suits your needs, your ways of expressing and communicating. Over time we will build a relationship that has trust at its core, we will work towards a strong working alliance where I am walking alongside you, listening and being guided by you to find the healing approaches and techniques that help me understand you better; and in turn you will better understand yourself too.

In understanding how you relate to yourself and others we will begin to unfold where issues have developed. I seek to provide a growth facilitating environment for my clients where we can look at these issues and begin to repair and restore your sense of self.

From this understanding and the application of new ways of approaching your life and relationships, we will work towards helping you find more peace, more mindful awareness, more acceptance and love for yourself and those around you.

My first session

We will begin with a brief conversation over the phone for me to better understand what it is you are looking for, and if we choose to move forward we will have an initial consultation which is free of charge. From here we contract for 6 weeks to get a better feel as to whether we feel to continue the working relationship, and from then onwards we will work in an open ended contract until the therapy comes to its natural end. There is no set time frame for how long this journey is, and taking the first step can often feel like the hardest, but with regular check ins, honest feedback and trust we will find our way, together, along this path.
