About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I am Kyra, an experienced and supportive supervisor who creates a shame-free and nurturing space for therapists. My experience includes lecturing difference and diversity in counselling and psychotherapy on counselling and psychotherapy degrees and have delivered seminars for BADth, Dramatherapy South West, CDthAN.

As a Supervisor my focus is on enhancing anti-oppressive, neurodivergent- practice and incorporating various forms of creative expression, such as creative writing, poetry, psychodrama, sandtray, visual arts, and music, into therapy. Whether you are already using these mediums or interested in exploring their potential, I can provide guidance and support in these areas.

In addition to traditional online supervision sessions, I also offer unique, low intensity walk-and-talk sessions in the beautiful natural surroundings of Surrey. These outdoor sessions last for 60 minutes and provide an opportunity to engage in supervision while enjoying the benefits of movement and nature. The cost for walk-and-talk sessions is £75. If you are interested in this refreshing approach, please reach out to me for more details.

Individual online supervision sessions are available for 1.5 hours, priced at £90 per session. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or would like to explore how the arts can be integrated into your therapy practice. I am here to support your growth as a therapist and help you find the approach that best suits your needs and preferences.

Practice description

I believe that incorporating movement and nature into supervision can create a dynamic and enriching experience, inspiring new perspectives and insights. Your well-being as a therapist is important to me, and I am dedicated to addressing ethical decisions, practicing new techniques, and enhancing your therapy practice to be anti-oppressive, neurodivergent-affirming, and culturally competent.

When working with me, expect a warm and supportive environment that enhances your reflective practice and skills. We'll explore talking therapy, arts therapies, and creative approaches, drawing on attachment theory, person-centered therapy, Jungian archetypes, and liberation psychology. Creating a safe space where your needs and perspectives are valued, we'll deepen understanding, expand therapeutic skills, and promote positive change. My experience in cross-neurotype and neurodivergent-affirming therapy, along with knowledge in group dynamics, anti-oppressive practice, and diversity in counseling, ensures an inclusive and effective approach. Incorporating movement and nature in supervision inspires new insights and well-being. I'm dedicated to addressing ethics, practicing new techniques, and enhancing your therapy practice to be anti-oppressive, neurodivergent-affirming, and culturally competent. As an integrative psychotherapist, I offer supervision to therapists using relational or humanistic approaches, including those incorporating the arts. With a Diploma in Supervision and an Advanced Diploma in Therapeutic Application of the Arts, I provide comprehensive, tailored support. Please reach out with questions or to schedule a session. I'm here to support your professional journey.

My first session

Our first session is a chance for both you and I to get to know each other. Together we will assess your needs and wants, and what i can offer. Then we can decide whether we are a good fit.

If you are interested in outdoor supervision, our first session will be face-to-face (indoors in my home office). We will carry out an assessment of your physical abilities and needs so that we can plan together where and how we will have supervision sessions.
