About me and my therapy practice
I am a fully qualified counsellor who works with adults, teenagers and children from my room in Pershore or On line via Zoom.At times people can often feel overwhelmed by events in their lives and begin to struggle. There are times in life when we cannot make sense of our emotions or behaviours on our own and we need a little help. I know how frightening it can be when you feel stuck and are struggling for options. This is when counselling may help
By talking over your problems in an accepting and non judgemental space, you are more able to gain understanding over your thoughts and feelings. Being in a therapeutic relationship will allow you to process what is going on for you in your own time and at your own pace. I am here to listen to you and help you sort out your thoughts, feelings and behaviours and find a way through what is troubling you. My aim is for us to work together, to get you back in control of your life. I work with each person as an individual with their own stories and problems. I trust in the therapeutic process, and in the inner strengths of my clients, and believe that together we can move to a better place.Practice description
I am a fully qualified integrative counsellor, trained to work with both adults and young people. Working in an integrative way means that I work in a way best suited to the needs of my client. I am an experienced person centred counsellor and I also work with other modalities such as cognitive therapies, solution focused counselling and creative therapy.
My fees are per session for face to face are:
Adult Counselling 50 - 60 minute session £45
Children & Teenage Counselling 45-50 minute session £40
My session fees for Zoom are £40 per adult and £35 for young people.
My first session
I know that making the decision to come to counselling may feel daunting and you may be apprehensive. I am happy to have a free initial telephone call where we can have a chat to see if we can work together. Once you feel comfortable to meet we can arrange our first session where we can talk in greater detail and explore what you want to gain from counselling. You may have specific goals that you want to achieve which we can explore and work towards. We can then see at this point if I am the right person to help you move forward.
Having regular weekly sessions does help but we can work to your own needs and I understand that sometimes one session may actually be enough for you at the moment.
I am now working face to face with Covid 19 Risk Assessment in place and am working in line with all the Government Guidelines. I am also offering on line counselling for which I do a reduced rate.
