About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified and experienced psychotherapist based in south west London (Fulham / Parson’s Green / Putney) and currently offering in person or remote, online therapy. I offer a safe space for individuals seeking help with their emotional difficulties.

There are many reasons why people seek psychotherapy, but sometimes you might not even know or understand what is troubling you or holding you back. My aim is to offer you a safe space, where together, we can work on identifying what may be causing your distress, explore whether there may be past patterns which might be contributing to your difficulties and to help you to make sense of your world, your relationships and to lead a more fulfilled life.

Practice description

About Psychotherapy

If you haven't had psychotherapy before, you may feel anxious about what it entails and you may have some questions. It's paramount that you feel safe with your therapist, which can make choosing someone you have never met before to work with, a daunting experience. For this reason, I offer a no obligation consultation session, where we explore what brings you to therapy, your hopes for the future, and to see how we might work together.

How long will it take before I start feeling better?

There is no one size fits all approach to psychotherapy, so each person's experience will be unique. I offer open ended psychotherapy, using predominantly psychodynamic models where we work an in-depth way to explore your problems; but sometimes, short term, time limited work, over 12 sessions, where we focus on a specific issue or navigate through a difficult period, can be an option if it's appropriate for your situation.

Therapy takes place in a totally confidential, open and nonjudgemental environment, usually at the same time and location each week. Each session will always last 50 minutes.

What Benefits can be Expected?

Each step of the way, we work together to understand what might be causing your distress and as we move forward, we may uncover patterns or dynamics from your past, which may have some bearing on your current situation. However long you choose to be in therapy, the insight gained from increased self awareness in the process can help to enhance many areas of your life.

My first session

First steps

Following on from your initial enquiry, I aim to respond within 24 hours to arrange a time for us to have a quick chat over the phone, where we can then schedule a consultation session either in person or over Zoom at a mutually agreeable time.

We may have more than one consultation session so that we can gain a better understanding of how we might work together and so that you have a chance to experience what therapy may be like and to fully explore whether therapy is right for you at this time. As with the therapy sessions, the consultations also last 50 minutes and standard session rate applies.
