About me and my therapy practice
In the current environment you may feel anxious about meeting face-to-face. I have extensive experience of supporting clients on the phone or online. Anxiety is a special focus for me so please do seek support if you feel you need help in developing strategies to manage your anxiety about the health, work and economic challenges that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is presenting.
Are you feeling stressed... suffering from depression or anxiety... or have you lost someone you care about? Are you feeling down or finding it difficult to cope at work? These and other challenges are a natural part of life but can sometimes be difficult to manage on your own.
Counselling is not just for people who have mental health issues. It’s for anyone who feels stuck or is going through a tough time which they are finding difficult to sort out on their own.
I bring my experience of having helped other people in similar situations. But each person is different so it is important that I understand your needs and can respond in the best ways to help you achieve your goals. I have particular experience of helping people with anxiety and stress, helping to build resilience and working with those who are grieving following a bereavement.
Counselling is not about telling you what to do or giving you advice. I will listen to you without judging or criticising, and respect your views and experiences. I will support you as you explore and clarify your own thoughts and feelings.
