About me and my therapy practice
As a qualified and registered therapist, I primarily offer person centered counselling, a talking therapy based on the assumption that clients should have a non judgmental, accepting relationship with the therapist.
Person entered counselling appeals to many, as it is client led, and enables you to develop the inner resource to address negative patterns of thinking, and to bring about growth and change.
Person centered counselling has been proven to be especially effective in the treatment of mild to moderate depression and anxiety in particular.
I hold an Advanced Diploma (BACP Accred.) and Honours Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and am currently completing a Masters Degree in Psychology (BPS Accred.) - due to complete in Summer 2019.
I have worked as a Therapist in a number of third sector organisations, as well as NHS settings, and now in my own private practice, based at home. I am committed to ongoing training and personal development, as well as regular attendance at research and practice conferences.
I am also committed to practising in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice.
