About me and my therapy practice
Modern life can be complicated and stressful. This may leave people feeling stuck or with a sense of loss of meaning in their lives, and seeking a greater sense of fulfillment. By taking time to learn more about yourself, what began as a problem can often be a turning point towards self-discovery and counselling supports people to achieve real change in their lives. My background is rooted in the psychodynamic tradition and is also flexible and sensitive to individual needs.
I currently work in private practice and also volunteer at an addiction centre. I have also worked at a women's centre. People come to me for a wide range of reasons including low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, relationship problems, family and parenting issues, chronic illness, abuse, trauma, bereavement, eating disorders and addiction. Sometimes clients come at a period of extreme crisis and other when they feel the time is right to address long-standing concerns.
