About me and my therapy practice

I'm Jennifer and I became a counsellor because I received counselling at a time when I felt unable to cope with life and felt suicidal: counselling helped me find a reason to live. I now offer my experience and skills to help others.

My specialism is counselling transgender, LGBT+ people and their families, and with survivors of sexual abuse. I am an ally to the LGBT+ Community and am a member of The Gendered Intelligence Network for Therapists and Counsellors: trans/queer/ gay/gender diversity is my everyday life and I know of the associated fear and isolation which can go hand in hand with these. I will work confidentially with you to explore your true self, enabling you to be proud of and find joy in the person you are.

I create a safe place for you, where you can be free to be you. I am non-judgemental. I will not tell you what to do. I will work with you to understand and control your moods, enabling you to work towards gaining more control over your life. I will work with you towards self-empowerment, making life choices which are right for you, so you can go out into the world with a new beginning.

Some of my clients’ testimonials -

"I’m so happy you chose the wonderful job you do, as you have helped me more than you know…you have helped me change my life making my dream come true." GJ.

"Thank you for picking me up and putting me back together…" KW.
