About me and my therapy practice

In response to the Coronavirus emergency I am offering online (Zoom, Skype or FaceTime) or telephone sessions if you need support through this challenging time. I'm an experienced, accredited counsellor and psychotherapist and maintain full confidentiality.

I offer my clients a supportive and non-judgemental environment in which to work through whatever is challenging them. Over the years I have experienced how counselling and psychotherapy can help deliver real life changes. This is more relevant than ever during the current situation in which we all find ourselves.

You may need support with anxieties and feelings brought up by the Covid-19 situation, or there may be other specific issues that you wish to explore such as a relationship, your work, or a recent event. Either way I hope that working with me you will find ways to manage difficult feelings, come to understand and trust yourself better, and feel able to make informed decisions about your life.

My orientation is integrative, which means that I have been trained to create my own personal approach by drawing on a number of different schools of therapy. Underpinning all the work is the working relationship we establish together.

As well as working in private practice, I have previously worked for Transport for London’s in-house Counselling and Trauma Service, for a leading primary care trust within the NHS, and as a member of a university counselling team. I am accredited by the UKCP and a member of the BACP.

Taking the first step towards finding help is often the hardest part, and it’s important that you find the right counsellor / psychotherapist for you. This can feel daunting, so I have written a guide offering some suggestions, which you can find on my website. If you have any further questions about what working with me might involve, or about therapy more generally, then please feel free to get in touch.
