About me and my therapy practice

I enjoy working with Counselling/psychotherapy students as they develop their understanding and unique way of practising. My practice is strongly informed by Somatic Experiencing as a way of helping with PTSD, anxiety regulation and reduction. This is a holistic way of working e.g. with acute anxiety, early developmental trauma, and single incident trauma, and includes all aspects of human experiencing and ways of finding new meanings - physiologically, psychologically, emotionally, and spiritually - as based on the work of Peter A Levine. It can be very helpful to people with Asperger's. I also work with the Comprehensive Resource Model, which has its roots in a similar scientific basis to EMDR and Brainspotting, and in the neurophysiological connection of emotion, meaning, and eye position in recovery from trauma.
