About me and my therapy practice

I am a person centred therapist, I don't believe I am the expert of you but by working together we may be able to make the things that have brought you to counselling more clear and see the way ahead.

My qualifications are a BSc in person centred counselling  from the University of Derby.  I have worked with a variety of clients and I possess wide ranging experience which I built on with continued professional development.

I have volunteered with the charities Cheshire Without Abuse (CWA), working with survivors of domestic violence and also I currently volunteer with Survive, a charity that also works with survivors of abuse.

I currently only offer one to one counselling.

Practice description

I work from my home, in an office room designed to offer a quiet, calming space for clients.

I have pets at my home, they will not be present in the room during sessions.  I will ask about allergies at inquiry.

There is parking near my home and I have a driveway.

I offer hot and cold drinks to clients before a session begins .

My first session

I offer a phone consultation upon inquiry and a free 30 min session either over phone or face to face to see if the counselling is the right fit for the client.

The first full session will be booked with the client at the end of the 30 min introduction.

At the first session, clients will be welcomed and will be allowed space to talk about the things that have brought them to counselling. Further sessions can be discussed at the end of the first session.
