About me and my therapy practice

I offer a safe, confidential, therapeutic counselling space for you to talk, think and explore your thoughts, feelings and concerns. Think of it as somewhere where you can be how you need to be, say what you need to say, and feel what you need to feel.

I offer both long-term and short-term counselling to adults either face to face or online. I will work with you to help discover the source of your problems and find the courage and strength to face them.

While therapy is a collaboration it is important to remember that you are the expert on you. My role is more like walking alongside you, rather than leading the way. I am here to help you make sense of your challenges and edge you towards the holy grail of therapy – self-acceptance

My first session

We will meet for an initial 50 minute session, so you can meet me, talk about your problem, what you'd like to gain from coming to therapy and decide whether you feel comfortable talking to me. Towards the end of the session, we can decide if we want to work together or you can have some time to think about it and let me know. If we decide to continue to work together, our sessions will take place on the same day, at the same time each week.

It is worth noting that you may not immediately click with therapy – sometimes it takes a bit of time. Having the space and the opportunity to focus on you might seem a little strange, especially if it’s a new experience for you. It takes courage to step out and to actively face your problems and it is completely natural to feel anxious at first.
