About me and my therapy practice

I am an experienced Adlerian practitioner, trainer and life coach. I offer a wide range of approaches and methods which we can use in conjunction with Classical Adlerian therapy. We can work together to create a solution-focused package that is ideally tailored to your needs, designed to tackle the root cause of issues such as anxiety depression, or low self esteem, removing the obstacles which often stand in the way of self-acceptance and contentment. All therapy is client lead and collaborative in nature, allowing for a productive relationship aimed at helping you to accomplish your goals, develop more useful behaviours and achieve healthier relationships.

Practice description

Often we experience a feeling that in some way, life could be more joyful, more fulfilling, or more peaceful. That we could be experiencing a much deeper level of contentment. Many of us spend our lives waiting for ‘life to be right so that we can be happy’ perhaps without realizing it or without understanding why things sometimes seem not to improve despite all our efforts.

Our difficulties may be with our family and loved ones or be connected with fulfilling our potential in our career and occupation, or perhaps with feelings of conflict, Anxiety, Grief & loss, loneliness, and a lack of connection and friendship in our social life. Perhaps we have never managed to allocate an hour a week to just looking at our life’s situation, our problems, our hopes, our dreams.

BUT, whatever the issue, the remedy may be closer than we think.

We might have an idea about what the problem is but sometimes the solution may be difficult to pinpoint without the help of a trained companion to help us. Sometimes it may be because part of the problem lies within our unconscious. It may be that on some level we are still carrying limiting beliefs or familiar negative feelings from long ago which are no longer serving us.

There are many different forms of therapy, many methods, theories, and practices, because as human beings we are all different and unique, and an approach that may have limited benefit for one person might be ideally suited to someone else.

Adlerian therapy is designed to start with the issue as it presents itself in our life, and uses extremely powerful but gentle, well-proven techniques to uncover the true nature of our discontent. We can then use these valuable insights to re-shape our lives in ways that are more in alignment with what it is that we truly desire.

My first session

The first session is designed to be a friendly exploration of what it is that you are wishing to work on, it's really about finding out what kind of support you require and evaluating whether you feel it would be useful for us to work together. In this first session, we will cover some basic information and you will have the opportunity to ask any questions that may help you to decide whether this approach is going to work for you. At the end of this session, we will have a basic picture of what kind of things we might need to look at in order to obtain the improvements you desire.
