About me and my therapy practice
Are you wondering how counselling might help you? Maybe you're going through a difficult time in your life and need some support to find your way through it? I’m a BACP accredited counsellor who understands how scary it can be to reach out for help.
Many years ago, I experienced incredibly helpful support through counselling during a challenging and difficult time in my life. The memory of being really supported without feeling judged but with compassion and understanding has never left me so, after several years working in the travel industry, I decided to hang up my wings and retrain as a therapeutic counsellor myself to help support others who may be experiencing difficulties in their lives too.
After qualifying in 2010, I went on to work in bereavement support with Dorothy House Hospice Care and I also worked in supporting victims of rape/sexual violence as well as domestic abuse (via Victim Support). I worked for a more general counselling charity too, offering help for people with many different presenting issues, such as depression and anxiety.
If you feel I can help, please contact me to arrange a short telephone consultation (with no obligation to take things further) to see if counselling with me is appropriate for your needs.
