About me and my therapy practice

You or someone you know, may be finding things difficult at the moment and are considering talking to someone about it. Perhaps you are feeling stressed, anxious, depressed or find yourself thinking too much, going over things again and again in your mind. Or perhaps you are not quite yourself, but are unable to figure out why. Therapy provides a confidential, empathic, non-judgemental space in which to talk about your thoughts and feelings.

Your therapist is there to listen and work with you to help you understand more about yourself and your relationships. Together with your therapist, you can think about how your past experience influences the present, particularly your emotional life, relationships and behaviour, enabling you to gain insight and perspective into your situation and support you in moving forward. The therapuetic relationship is unique, in that the focus is on you.

Therapy will help you gain insight into your internal world, helping you to acquire a better understanding of yourself and your perception of the world around you.

Psychotherapy can help with Anxiety, Depression, Suicidal thoughts and feelings, Adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, Abusive relationships, Coping with traumatic experiences, Low self-esteem, Difficulties making and sustaining relationships, Difficult emotions such as guilt/hopelessness/shame, OCD - Obsessive thoughts and behaviours, Attachment trauma, Eating disorders, Infertility, Addiction.

Coaching sessions are goal focused and all about discovering what it is you need to live your best life. The sessions focus on your emotional wellbeing, your mental roadblocks and how we can find a way together to help you connect with and grow your true self. I combine my therapeutic skills with my work as a Coach, giving me a greater depth of understanding about your internal world and how we can use this insight to work towards your goals.

Practice description

I am a registered Psychodynamic Psychotherapist and obtained my postgraduate diploma at WPF therapy, one of the UK's leading training institutions for Psychotherapists.

I have worked within the NHS and private practice with a diverse range of issues including trauma, anxiety, depression, adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, obsessive compulsive thinking and disorders, fertility problems, post-natal depression, eating disorders, relationship difficulties, and many other emotional and behavioural difficulties.

My therapy room is located in South London. There is a train station 5 minutes walk away and free parking outside. At the moment, all sessions are taking place via video call.

I practise both time-limited (12 sessions) and open-ended psychodynamic therapy. Psychodynamic psychotherapy is talking based therapy.

A session runs for 50 minutes every week.

We will come to an agreement early on about what type of therapy is right for you. If it is time-limited, we will agree an end date for the therapy. Open-ended therapy is longer term and allows for deeper exploration of your internal world. The sessions will run weekly until we agree an end date at some point in future.

A coaching session runs for 50 minutes weekly or fortnightly.

In our first session and throughout the coaching journey, we will talk about your goals, emotional setbacks, thinking about unconscious sabotage and ultimately, how we will achieve your best you. You are in a supportive place, where you are the most important person in the room.

My first session

Due to the impact of Covid-19 Coronavirus and in line with advice from Public Health England, all therapy & coaching sessions are currently taking place via video call.

I am holding one to one therapy sessions as normal via Zoom, Outlook and other secure videocall services. Please get in touch to arrange a session via a service that suits you.

Sessions last for 50 minutes.

In our first session, we will talk a bit more about why you are seeking support and how it might be beneficial for you. We will also think about whether open-ended or time limited therapy is more suitable for you.

If you are seeking coaching, we will talk about your goals and make a plan for how we will work together to support you in your journey ahead.
