About me and my therapy practice

Hello and thanks for reading - I know how hard it can be to find the right therapist, so here's some information about the work I do.

For 20 years I've offered Humanistic, Integrative, Relational and creative therapy to people who want to look at their issues and understand themselves better. I trained as a counsellor after having counselling myself because it made such a difference to me and I still believe it can make a real difference to people.

I'm also a qualified Mindfulness trainer and can integrate mindfulness into counselling sessions, plus I offer one-to-one mindfulness sessions which follow the 8-week Mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) course in structure. Finally, I offer Walk & Talk therapy - which is counselling outdoors, in nature.

I offer a free introductory session, enjoy working with people from different backgrounds and cultures to my own - and my practice is LGBTQ-plus friendly.

As well as working in private practice, I run a University counselling service - and my background includes over 20 years of voluntary sector work with disadvantaged people in Manchester.

What I can help with

Anxiety, Bereavement, Depression, Loss, Personal development, Identity issues, Self esteem, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Spirituality, Women's issues, Relationships, Stress, Work related issues
