About me and my therapy practice
Thank you for visiting my profile. I've done what you’re doing, looking at websites for a counsellor that you think can help or support you, so I have an idea of how you are feeling and this is reflected in the way I work.
Maybe someone close to you has died and your struggling to move on and feel stuck, or maybe your feeling stressed and can't sleep.
Do you feel lost, confused and don't know which way, or where to turn or feel lonely and have no one to talk or offload to?
Are you hiding these from others, even your closest friends and family and putting on a brave face?
I will provide you with a safe and confidential space, where you can talk about what is bothering you, without the feeling of burdening others, or being unable to say how you really feel in case you upset someone. I will offer you the opportunity to feel truly listened to and you will receive non-judgemental, unbiased support.
Aswell as my own private practice, I am an approved associate counsellor for an Employee Assistance Program and also The Sporting Chance Clinic Charity.
Practice description
I am available to work online or face to face. For face to face, I work in a safe and comfortable room, with disabled access, toilet facilities and free parking.
The first time we meet will be your free 30 minute initial session, this can be done online or face to face. This is very informal and will help you decide if we could work together.
My first session
Following this, the sessions will all be 60 minutes, with a review every 6th session to talk about your progress and find out how you think it is going and if you feel your needs are being met.
Counselling is about the relationship between yourself and myself and it may take time to build the trust or you may feel comfortable and the trust may be there early on. It is different for each person, so I can work short term and long term.
