About me and my therapy practice
When looking after others, it is all too easy to push your own needs aside. Being a foster carer can bring feelings of connection, joy and achievement. It can also bring disconnection, grief, frustration, and vicarious trauma. Your genuine care builds special bonds which nurture our young, and yet you can suffer loss after loss too. Being constantly on call may be draining your energy and so can holding the complexity of working with hurt children, their families and the different agencies involved. It’s time to make space for your own feelings and be truly heard.
I offer a safe and confidential space to explore your unique experience as you navigate these challenges. We can develop skills to manage stress more effectively and build on your resilience. I fostered for many years and know from personal experience how valuable this support can be. I am ready to listen, so please feel free to begin with offloading!
If any of this resonates with you, please get in touch. We can book a 15 minute video call where you can ask any questions you may need. I am currently working online via video. This means we can work together regardless of where you are in the UK while perhaps avoiding the need to find alternative child care. I also work in-person near Lewes, East Sussex.

If you’ve found your way here wondering how to make sense of life after loss, I can support you. This may be the loss of a loved one, the loss of your health, or the loss of who you knew yourself to be. Feeling anxious, sad, flat or unwell makes everything so much harder. This journey doesn't come with a roadmap, but together we can create yours. There is hope and there can be healing.
Practice description
I offer a pluralistic approach to therapy; we can use various interventions to meet and honour your unique needs and wishes. Together, we can explore what matters most to you; witnessing, accepting and validating the parts of you that are longing for healing. I can be a companion in those hard places and be with you as you pave your way forwards.
I would love to hear from you if any of this resonates with what you're going through. I offer online therapy, which means you can reserve your energy and not have to think about travel, parking and accessibility issues. My first session
I offer a free 20 minute video call to see if we are a good fit and I can meet your needs. Your confidentiality matters to me so I recommend letting anyone at home know that you will need your privacy for the time of our session. It can also be helpful to use headphones with a microphone so we can hear each other clearly and so we are not overheard. Our sessions will be held via secure video consultation software. This system is GDPR compliant to provide us with optimal privacy for working online together.
