About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified and experienced counsellor, offering a confidential space to explore whatever is troubling you.
I work integratively, meaning that I blend counselling approaches according to your needs and strengths. For example you may wish to focus on your experience of your body, or to use imaginative practices such as visualisation.
I work within a transpersonal framework. This is about what lies beyond personal identity, including our experience of how we belong (or not) in the bigger picture of the world.
My approach is relational, which means that our relationship is central to the counselling process. I encourage openness, balancing support with challenge and respecting your autonomy.
Before training as a counsellor, I studied Psychology (MA) and worked in a range of settings, including therapy in an NHS service for people experiencing anxiety and depression.
I come to counselling with firsthand experience of long-term therapy and a personal understanding of the benefits and challenges of the therapeutic journey.
