About me and my therapy practice
Hi, My name Chris. I am from an integrative background which means I can draw on different therapies to ensure you get the right therapy for you. I will work with you so you can explore your thoughts and feelings and the reasons you have sought counselling.
You would go an see your doctor for a medical treatment, right? Having talking therapy is another way of good mental health, more so right now with the restrictions being lifted. Are you feeling overwhelmed ? What do you want to change ?
Talking therapy is a way to express how you really think and feel in a respectful, warm, safe and non-judgemental environment, with someone who is impartial and not emotionally involved.
As an Integrative Counsellor, I use the following counselling approaches individually tailored to your needs:
Person-centred - accepting the individual as they are and believing they have the capacity within themselves to change and achieve their full potential, given the right therapeutic conditions.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) - changing unhelpful thoughts and behaviours which have been accumulated through life experiences.
Psychodynamic - understanding the ways in which unconscious processess and past experiences shape present behaviour.
