About me and my therapy practice
Before becoming a counsellor, I over the years have worked with a variety of people coming from many different backgrounds including, those living with dementia and their carers.
I am a BACP registered, qualified counsellor and I work using a Person-Centred approach.
I offer a warm, confidential space where you will be valued, respected, and empowered. This creates a safe environment for you to explore what is impacting you right now and brings you to counselling.
I acknowledge that we are all unique and counselling is not just a 'one-size-fits-all' approach; and I will work creatively with your consent as and when the need may arise.
We are living in difficult, challenging and hard to deal with times, which we are constantly reminded of, through the media and the daily news. This can leave us feeling confused, anxious and uncertain for the future.
It is inevitable that at some point we may encounter challenging and hard to cope with experiences which leave us feeling sad, lonely, emotional, depressed or isolated.
You may feel unable to make sense of your feelings and emotions or your life experiences, leaving you feeling confused, numb, restless or fearful and unable to cope.
Whatever has brought you to counselling at this present time in your life I am here to listen and understand your concerns and work with you to try and make sense of them.
